18th June, 2008 - IBM, Hursley
The WebSphere Integration User Group (UK) is the largest MQ user group in Europe.
The objective of the group is for the exchange of user experiences with WebSphere MQ and the WebSphere Integration product range. The group currently runs 3 meetings a year which are normally attended by around 80 people.
Over 100 delegates attended this WebSphere Integration User Group and they were all keen to hear the news on the latest version of WebSphere MQ V7.0, which went GA this month, along with the current thinking around WebSphere Message Broker, Process Server and Monitor. And they weren’t disappointed.
|
Alphacourt’s contribution to the proceedings came in the form of an informative and lively presentation by Grant Strachan, one of our process consultants (right), who walked delegates through our Modelling for Solutions approach on a Starters and Leavers process. |

Morag Hughson of the IBM Labs Hursley also gave an excellent presentation, highlighting the much extended functionality available around Pub/Sub.
User experience was provided by the double act of Nick Rozanski and Mohan Kandral of Marks & Spencer, who presented on replacing an ageing Microsoft environment with WebSphere Message Broker to support their new POS implementation.
